Notifications

Dial8's notification system keeps you informed about changes that matter to you across the workspace.

Notification Types

You'll receive notifications for events like:

• Action assigned — Someone assigned an action to you
• Action status changed — An action you're watching changed status
• Comment reply — Someone replied to your comment
• Mention — Someone @mentioned you in a comment
• Decision confirmed — A decision from a capture was confirmed
• Capture shared — A capture was shared with you
• Invitation — You were invited to a workspace or team

Notification Feed

Access your notifications from the inbox in the sidebar. The notification feed shows:

• Unread notifications highlighted
• Mark individual notifications as read
• Archive notifications you've handled
• Quick navigation to the related entity (action, capture, comment, etc.)

Notification Preferences

Customize how you receive notifications in Settings → Notifications:

Configure preferences per notification type — you might want email notifications for action assignments but only in-app notifications for comment replies.

@Mentions

Mention team members in comments using @ followed by their name. Mentioned members receive a notification linking them directly to the comment.
