Dial8 includes a built-in CRM for tracking the people and companies you work with. Contacts are connected to email threads, meeting captures, and actions — giving you a complete picture of every relationship.

Creating Contacts

  • Manually — Create from the contacts view
  • From captures — Participants in captures can be linked or created as contacts
  • From calendar — Sync attendees from calendar events as contacts
  • From email — Contacts are auto-linked based on email addresses

Visibility & Sharing

Contacts have configurable visibility:

Interaction History

Every contact has a timeline of interactions:

  • Captures — Meetings they participated in

  • Actions — Tasks linked to or about them
  • Notes — Manual interaction entries

This timeline is built automatically as you use Dial8 — no manual logging required.

Comments

Add comments to contacts for internal notes and discussion. Comments support threading and @mentions.

Company-Contact Relationship

Assign contacts to companies to see all your relationships at an organization in one place. Company views aggregate interaction data across all associated contacts.

Voice Identification

With the desktop app, Dial8 can identify speakers in meetings by their voice:

  • Voice enrollment — Store voice embeddings (voiceprints) for contacts
  • Automatic matching — During captures, speakers are matched to enrolled contacts
  • Progressive trust — The system tracks confidence scores and improves with corrections
  • Manual correction — Reassign speaker segments when automatic matching is wrong

This means your meeting transcripts can automatically attribute who said what, linked directly to CRM contacts.

Filtering & Views

Filter contacts by:

  • Company, relationship type, relationship strength
  • Tags, last interaction date, follow-up date
  • Created by, visibility level

Save filters as custom views for quick access.
